2016 Sponsorship Opportunities

On April 16 and 17, 2016, the DC Furies will host the 36th Annual Ruggerfest tournament: one of the largest all-women’s rugby tournaments in the nation, hosted by the capital’s premier women’s rugby team! The tournament draws upwards of 1,000 attendees from across the country and Canada. Players ranging in age from high school students to seasoned players and retired alumnae come out to show their support.

By supporting the DC Furies during this event, your business will be exposed to players from 20-30 teams plus all attendees of friends, family, and more. In addition to the thousand or so Ruggerfest attendees, the Furies have 65 registered players and hundreds of involved alumnae, creating a strong local network and providing you with the perfect platform to advertise for your business or organization.

Kick Off – $100+

LINE OUT – $250+

Playing the type of competitive rugby that has become second nature to the Furies involves a great deal of financial commitment from each player. We pay annual dues and hold fundraisers, both of which help the Furies pay for coaches, lights, fields, refs, equipment, etc. The team also provides financial aid scholarships to players for travel who are unable to afford 100% of the cost. As the Furies have become more competitive, the financial burden has increased. In order to compete with top-level teams, the Furies must travel more frequently, increase pay for great coaches, and purchase better equipment. Dues and fundraising are not enough. We depend on your generous donations and sponsors to support our efforts to make the Furies one of the preeminent teams in the country.
